Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Ministers Launch ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally in Delhi

New Delhi, August 13: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju, and Mansukh Mandaviya, flagged off a bike rally under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The rally will end at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

Significance of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’

Vice President Dhankhar emphasized that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ reflects India’s independence, pride, and commitment to becoming a developed nation. He mentioned that the campaign, which started in 2021 as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, has now become a movement with millions of people participating by hoisting the Tiranga at their homes.

Dhankhar also highlighted India’s progress towards becoming a global superpower, stating, “A few years ago, India was a matter of concern for the world in terms of economy. Today, we are swiftly going ahead towards becoming the 3rd global superpower, we are the 5th today.”

Union Ministers’ Statements

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said, “Tiranga is the pride of the country…Tiranga ties the country together as one…we have taken the resolution that we will always keep increasing the pride of our country.”

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju added, “By creating an atmosphere for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, across the corners of the country, today people are participating in it…to wake up the nation ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ journey has started and this has become a movement…this movement is to strengthen the country.”

Campaign Background

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign nationwide. The central government urged citizens to hoist the tricolour on every house, shop, and office. In the 112th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, Prime Minister Modi called upon all Indians to participate in the campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, started in 2021 to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The initiative aims to invoke patriotism and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
