Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Inaugurates Women’s Group Stalls for Raksha Bandhan
On Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated stalls set up by women’s groups under the Chief Minister’s Empowered Bahana Utsav Yojana and Chief Minister’s Women Self Help Group Empowerment Scheme at the Secretariat.
The Chief Minister purchased local products like ghee and observed the stalls. He mentioned that the state government is working to advance women self-help groups through various schemes. These groups are making excellent products, providing new employment opportunities, and giving local products a new identity.
Before Raksha Bandhan, self-help groups are making rakhis, and the government is providing platforms for women to sell their products. The Chief Minister urged everyone to buy locally made rakhis and other products for the upcoming Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 19.
At the Secretariat, various self-help groups like Devbhoomi Self Help Group from Barowala, Vaibhav Laxmi Self Help Group from Dakpathar, Milan Self Help Group from Raipur, and others are selling their products.
Raksha Bandhan is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to the love and bond between brothers and sisters.
