Mandla (Madhya Pradesh), August 11: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the joint event of Rakshabandhan and Tiranga Yatra in Mandla district. He expressed joy over the unique blend of both celebrations and extended warm greetings of Rakshabandhan to all sisters, emphasizing women’s empowerment.

CM Yadav said, “We celebrated the festival of sisters with great fervour in Mandla today. I am really glad that everyone participated in the celebrations. There are around 3.5 lakh Rakhis here from every house. The Tiranga rally was also a beautiful event ahead of Independence Day. I want to extend my greetings of Rakshabandhan to all the sisters. The unique blend of both celebrations was witnessed here in Mandla today.”

Earlier, on Friday, CM Yadav participated in the ‘Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan’ and Rakshabandhan Program at his residence in Bhopal. Women tied Rakhi to him and offered sweets, which he reciprocated. He announced an additional Rs 250 aid for women along with the monthly Rs 1,250 aid to ‘Ladli Behnas’ on Rakshabandhan.

In a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, “I participated in ‘Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan and Rakshabandhan and Shravan Utsav Program’ at my residence in Bhopal. I am extremely overwhelmed by the blessings I received from the sisters with auspicious songs and flower showers. Sisters who came from far-flung areas participated in the program and also tied Raksha Bandhan on my wrist. I promise to make every possible effort for their welfare and happiness.”

Several ministers and dignitaries were also present at the events.
