UP Hajj Committee Chairman Mohsin Raza Criticizes Samajwadi Party Over Ayodhya Gangrape Case
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 5: Uttar Pradesh Hajj Committee Chairman Mohsin Raza has criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) for allegedly backing the accused in the Ayodhya gangrape case. Raza stated, “Wherever Samajwadi party leaders win, they show their true colours and give impetus to violence.”
SP leader Moeed Khan and his house help are accused of raping and blackmailing a 12-year-old girl who worked at Khan’s home in Ayodhya. Khan was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping the girl for over two months. A case was also filed against him for allegedly threatening the victim’s family to settle the case.
The Ayodhya district administration demolished Khan’s “illegally constructed” bakery on Saturday. Raza questioned SP’s demand for a DNA test, asking, “How did you remember this DNA test thing today? How many such DNA tests were conducted during your tenure?”
Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati also criticized SP’s demand for a DNA test, asking how many such tests were done during SP’s rule. SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav called for DNA tests to ensure justice, stating, “Whoever is guilty should be given full punishment according to the law, but if the allegations are proven false after the DNA test, then the government officials involved should also not be spared.”
