Heavy Rain Causes Roof Collapse in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan
Three Dead, Four Injured
In the Kot-Murtaza area of Tank District, Dera Ismail Khan, heavy rain led to a tragic incident where the roof of a house collapsed. This resulted in the deaths of Asma Bibi and her two children, Sadia Bibi and Waheed Ullah. Four other family members, including Rehman and his three sons, Naseeb Ullah, Irfan, and Asmat Ullah, were injured.
Rescue 1122 teams quickly arrived at the scene to retrieve the bodies and provide first aid to the injured. The injured were then transported to the district headquarters hospital in Tank.
The region has been experiencing heavy torrential rains, causing the Tank-South Waziristan road to close due to flooding. A flood alert has been issued, and all relevant departments, including Rescue 1122, have been directed to stay on high alert.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall in Karachi from August 4 to 7. The monsoon system is expected to bring light to heavy rain, with some areas potentially receiving up to 100mm of rainfall. Most parts of the city can expect rainfall between 40mm to 60mm, with some areas possibly breaking records.
