Ramen Deka Becomes New Governor of Chhattisgarh
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), July 31 – Ramen Deka took the oath of office as the Governor of Chhattisgarh at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. After taking the oath, Deka expressed his happiness and commitment to help Chhattisgarh develop by working closely with both the state and central governments.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his best wishes to Deka and highlighted the historical ties between Chhattisgarh and Assam. He mentioned that many people from Chhattisgarh have moved to Assam to work in tea gardens and have settled there, with some becoming MLAs and MPs.
Earlier, on July 30, CM Sai bid farewell to former Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan in Mana. Sai praised Harichandan’s leadership and contributions to the state’s development. The farewell ceremony was held at the State Hangar in Mana, after which Harichandan left for Bhubaneswar.
