BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over ‘Halwa’ Remark
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a strong criticism against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his ‘Halwa’ remark. Trivedi accused the Congress party of monopolizing benefits during their rule, saying, ‘Only one family used to eat Halwa (projects) and the rest would eat sand.’
Trivedi pointed out that the Modi government made significant changes, such as presenting the budget on February 1 instead of February 28, to better align with India’s seasons. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributes benefits equally to everyone, including the poor, women, and farmers, unlike the Congress party.
This criticism came after Rahul Gandhi commented on the traditional Halwa ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance before the Budget session. Gandhi noted the lack of representation among officers preparing the budget, saying, ‘I can’t see one OBC or tribal or a Dalit officer in this.’
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget on July 23 in the Parliament, making major announcements for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, including a boost in infrastructure and special financial support.
