Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva Blames Government for Tragic Deaths of Three UPSC Aspirants

New Delhi, July 28: Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva has accused the Delhi government of corruption following the tragic deaths of three civil service aspirants at an IAS coaching institute in West Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar. The incident occurred on July 27 when the basement of the institute flooded after heavy rain.

Virendraa Sachdeva’s Statement

Sachdeva expressed his grief and anger, stating, “Three such youths who were the future of the country, who were the light of their families, but became victims of the corruption of the useless government of Delhi. I stayed there for three hours…you cannot see that scene. In half an hour of rain, so much water is going into the basement…the drains were overflowing.”

Accusations Against the Mayor

Sachdeva also criticized the mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for falsely claiming record-breaking rainfall. He said, “Look at the shamelessness; yesterday the mayor was saying that record-breaking rains have occurred in Delhi. Just now, the message from the weather department came that Delhi has not even experienced the rains yet. In Delhi, the government is yours, the mayor is yours, and the MCD is yours but still, you are giving excuses.”

Call for Action

Sachdeva called the incident a murder due to negligence and greed for money, demanding criminal cases against responsible departments and the resignation of the minister. He announced that the BJP would protest at the AAP office.

Victims Identified

The police identified the victims as Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Nivin Dalwin from Kerala. Their bodies have been sent to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for an autopsy.
