AAP MP Sanjay Singh Criticizes BJP Over OBC Reservation Bill
New Delhi, July 27: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh launched a strong attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the OBC reservation bill. He accused the BJP of being against Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minorities, Muslims, Christians, and Sikhs. Singh challenged the BJP to pass the OBC reservation bill if they are not against the backward class.
Sanjay Singh said, “…BJP is against Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minorities, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and if this OBC reservation bill has come and BJP’s intention is clear, then they should pass the bill. This bill is in the interest of the backward class people of the country and we will support this bill not once but 1000 times…”
He also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s intentions, stating, “I want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if your party and your intention are clear, then no better bill can come than this, pass this bill, there should be reservations for OBCs based on population…By opposing this bill, BJP has exposed its real face in front of the whole country.”
Meanwhile, AAP MP Raghav Chadha criticized the BJP-led government, saying that citizens pay taxes like in England but receive services like in Somalia. He noted that the BJP secured 240 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, down from 303 in 2019, due to economic issues. Chadha explained that a common man earning Rs 10 pays Rs 7-8 in various taxes, leaving little for personal use.
