Two men, Mahesh Lodhi (26) and Rahul Bose (20), were arrested in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh after an encounter with the police. The incident began when the suspects attacked a police constable during questioning about a loot case.

Details of the Incident

According to Ujjain Superintendent of Police (SP) Pradeep Sharma, the suspects were stopped by constables Vikram and Akash for questioning. One of the suspects attacked constable Akash with a knife, injuring him. The constable was taken to the hospital and is now out of danger.

Chase and Arrest

On Friday night, police received information that the suspects were trying to flee and were spotted in the Sawara Khedi area. A team from Madhav Nagar police chased them, during which one suspect opened fire. In retaliatory action, Mahesh Lodhi was shot in the leg. Both suspects fell from their bike and were injured. They were taken to the hospital and arrested.

Another suspect, Shiv, is still at large, and efforts are underway to capture him.
