Tragic School Van Accident in Ballia
One Student Killed, 15 Injured
In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, a school van carrying students lost control and crashed into a parked truck early on Saturday morning. The accident resulted in the death of one student and injuries to at least 15 others.
District Magistrate Praveen Kumar Lakshyakar provided details about the incident, stating, “A pick-up van of school children lost control and hit a parked truck, killing one and injuring other 15 students early this morning near Kapuri Narayanpur under the Fefna police station area in Ballia district.”
The injured students are receiving treatment at the district hospital, with three to four in critical condition. Two of the critically injured students have been referred to Varanasi for further treatment, while others are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Critical Care Unit.
An investigation into the accident is currently underway.
