Donald Trump Criticizes Kamala Harris and Talks About Assassination Attempt in Florida
Former President Donald Trump ramped up his attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris during a speech in front of a conservative audience in Florida. Trump claimed that Harris, the likely Democratic nominee for the US presidential poll, doesn’t like Jews and Israel. He criticized her for not attending Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent address to Congress.
Trump said, “She doesn’t like Jewish people, she doesn’t like Israel,” despite Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, being Jewish. Speaking at the Turning Point USA’s Believers’ Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump asked the crowd if they understood the radical left ideology Harris supports is hostile towards Americans of faith. He called Harris “the most incompetent, unpopular and far-left vice president in American history” and a “bum.”
Harris’s campaign responded to Trump’s speech, stating that he insulted the faith of Jewish and Catholic Americans, lied about the election, and proposed cutting billions in education funding. James Singer, a spokesperson for Harris’s campaign, said, “America can do better than the bitter, bizarre, and backward-looking delusions of criminal Donald Trump. Vice President Kamala Harris offers a vision for America’s future focused on freedom, opportunity, and security.”
During his Florida address, Trump also mentioned an assassination attempt on his life, confirming he was hit by a bullet at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13. He announced plans to return to Butler, Pennsylvania, to hold a rally in tribute to firefighter Corey Comperatore, who died that day. Trump thanked his supporters for their prayers and support and stated he accepted an apology from the FBI after they confirmed he had been shot.
