India’s archery team, led by Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai, begins its journey at the Paris Olympics 2024. This is the first time since 2012 that India is fielding a full team of six archers, competing in all five medal events.

The ranking rounds on July 25 will determine seedings for individual and team events. For men’s and women’s team competitions, the top four seeded teams will get direct quarterfinal qualification, while teams ranked eighth to 12th will compete for quarterfinal spots. The mixed team competition will see the top 16 pairs qualify for the next stage.

This will be Deepika Kumari’s fourth Olympic appearance and her first after becoming a mother. Tarundeep Rai is also making his fourth appearance, while Pravin Jadhav is in his second Olympics. Dhiraj Bommadevara, Bhajan Kaur, and Ankita Bhakat are debuting at the Olympics.

The archery competition at Paris 2024 starts with the individual ranking round on July 25, a day before the Opening Ceremony. The remaining stages will be held from July 28 to August 4 at Les Invalides.
