In Guna, Madhya Pradesh, a school principal named Sister Catherine is facing an FIR for allegedly snatching a microphone from a student reciting Gita verses instead of an English poem. The incident occurred during a program at Vandana Convent School.

Principal Sister Catherine objected to the student reciting Gita verses in Sanskrit and allegedly took the microphone from the student’s hand. This led to a controversy involving various student and religious organizations.

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) protested outside the school, singing bhajans and raising slogans. The police were called to manage the situation, and a heavy police force was deployed.

Following the protests, the ABVP demanded that an FIR be registered against Sister Catherine for hurting religious sentiments. Guna Police ASP Mansingh Thakur confirmed that an FIR has been registered and the matter is under investigation.
