Singapore’s High Commissioner Simon Wong Visits Ladakh and Odisha

Simon Wong, Singapore’s High Commissioner to India, recently visited Ladakh, a beautiful region in northern India. He encouraged everyone to visit Ladakh, calling it a ‘must-make spiritual journey’ in India. Ladakh is famous for its stunning mountains, lakes, and important Buddhist sites like the Hemis Monastery and the Thikse Monastery.

After his visit to Ladakh, Wong also visited the World Skill Centre in Odisha. He expressed his happiness with the progress made by the institution and reiterated Singapore’s commitment to supporting the skill development of young people in Odisha. Wong shared his thoughts on X, saying, ‘Visited the @WorldSkillCentr in #Odisha, and I’m happy that it had continued to make good strides. Singapore-Odisha relations are underpinned by our strong cooperation in Skills Development. Singapore will continue supporting the skills development of #Odia youth.’

Following his visit to Odisha, Wong returned to Delhi and shared his experience of a successful trip despite a massive software outage. He humorously mentioned holding a manual ticket due to the outage.
