CBI Arrests More Students in Patna for NEET-UG Paper Leak Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three more individuals in Patna in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case. The arrested individuals include Kumar Manglam Bishnoi and Deepender Kumar, both students of Bharatpur Medical College, and Shashi Kumar Paswan, who provided support to the main accused.

Earlier, on July 18, the CBI had arrested four students from AIIMS Patna: Karan Jain, Kumar Sanu, Rahul Anand, and Chandan Singh. These students were involved in solving papers for the main accused, Pankaj Kumar Singh, who was arrested on July 16 along with another accused, Raju Singh. Pankaj Kumar Singh is a civil engineer who graduated from NIT Jamshedpur.

On July 12, 13 individuals were sent to CBI custody by the Patna High Court. The CBI took over the investigation following widespread protests and demands to scrap the test due to alleged irregularities in the entrance exam conducted on May 5 by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

National Testing Agency (NTA) -: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an Indian government agency that conducts entrance exams for higher education institutions.
