Businessman Robbed in East Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar

A businessman in East Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar area was allegedly robbed of Rs 2 lakh by four robbers, according to the police.

Details of the Incident

The robbery took place in the back streets of Gandhi Nagar. The robbers fired shots before fleeing the scene. The police have registered a case under Section 311/2 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police Actions

Following the incident, the police formed three teams and mounted CCTV surveillance to track the suspects. One of the accused, Rakesh alias Prince, a resident of Dharampura in Gandhi Nagar, has been arrested. During interrogation, Prince confessed to the crime.

Further Investigation

Prince revealed that he, along with Vishal and two others, committed the robbery after collecting information from a juvenile, whose father is an employee of the victim. The investigation is still in progress.
