External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar received a warm ‘Bhojpuri Geet Gawai’ welcome at the Grand Bois Medi Clinic in Mauritius. Sharing a video of the event, Jaishankar expressed that Mauritius feels like a ‘home away from home’.

The clinic, built with Indian grant assistance, was inaugurated by Jaishankar and will provide secondary healthcare to 16,000 people in the Grand Bois area. Jaishankar described the project as the ‘newest expression’ of friendship between India and Mauritius.

Speaking at the inauguration, Jaishankar emphasized the importance of health and India’s commitment to the well-being of Mauritius. He praised Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth for the collaboration, stating that it will improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

Jaishankar highlighted that India’s partnership is contributing to the prosperity and connectivity of Mauritius, marking a permanent commitment from India.
