Tripura Government Demolishes Club in Agartala for Illegal Activities
The government of Tripura has demolished a club in Usha Bazar, Agartala, on Wednesday. The club was built in a public area and was involved in smuggling and other illegal activities.
Government’s Zero-Tolerance Policy
Dr. Vishal Kumar, the District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura, stated, “The CM Manik Saha and the Tripura government have a policy of zero tolerance against crime. No organisation, no person who is indulged in smuggling, drug peddling or a land mafia who interferes in the government’s tender negotiations will be spared. Strict action will be taken against all those.”
He also mentioned that some members of the club are already in jail and that the land will be used to build a primary healthcare center.
Illegal Construction
Kiran Kumar, the SP of West Tripura district, said, “After a thorough investigation of the club, it is clear that the whole construction is illegal. So, we are demolishing the structure.” He emphasized the government’s ongoing strict actions against unlawful activities.
