New Field Hospital in Sukma Helps Villagers and Security Forces Connect

A new field hospital has been opened in Puvarti, Sukma, Chhattisgarh, the native village of Naxal leader Hidma. This hospital is part of the Chhattisgarh Government’s ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme, which aims to establish security camps as integrated development centers.

Bridging the Gap

According to Bastar Range Inspector General of Police (IG) Sundarraj P., the field hospital is helping to reduce the gap between locals and security forces. The hospital provides primary healthcare facilities to residents, improving the health of women and children in particular.

Comprehensive Services

The field hospital, equipped with a dedicated medical team, offers primary medical services and refers patients to the district hospital when needed. It also has a well-equipped ambulance and bike-ambulance for emergencies.

Integrated Development

The security camps are working as integrated development centers, linking locals with various government schemes. A PDS (public distribution system) outlet has also been established to ensure the benefits of government schemes reach the villagers.

Villagers have expressed gratitude towards the government and security forces for making healthcare facilities easily accessible.
