Tragic Bus Accident in Unnao: 18 Dead, Many Injured

A terrible accident happened in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, early in the morning. A double-decker bus crashed into a milk container on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, causing 18 people to lose their lives and injuring more than 30 others.

Rescue and Treatment

Police from Behta Mujawar police station quickly arrived at the scene to help the injured. The injured were first taken to the Community Health Centre in Bangarmau, Unnao. Later, five of them were sent to Lucknow for better treatment, while the rest are being treated at the District Hospital in Unnao.

Support from Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced financial help of Rs 2 lakh for the families of those who died and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sadness and instructed officials to ensure the injured receive proper care. He also wished for their speedy recovery.

Details of the Accident

The bus was traveling from Motihari, Bihar, to Delhi when it hit the milk container from behind near Gadha Village. Police led by Circle Officer Arvind Chaurasia rushed to the spot to start rescue operations.
