Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda Speaks on Recent Terror Attacks in Jammu
New Delhi [India], July 9: Amid the recent increase in terror attacks in the Jammu division, Congress expressed its concern and assured support for government measures to ensure safety. Addressing a press conference, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda highlighted that the Kathua attack is the fifth in a month.
Hooda condemned the attacks, noting that an encounter in Kulgam resulted in the deaths of six terrorists and two soldiers. He mentioned other incidents, including an attack on a bus heading towards Vaishno Devi on June 9. Hooda stressed the need for strict action, echoing Rahul Gandhi’s sentiments.
President Droupadi Murmu condemned the Kathua attack, calling for firm counter-measures. Congress leader Sachin Pilot also demanded clarification from the central government on the attacks. In response, security forces have been deployed along NH44 in Udhampur.
