Luca Marini Scores First Point for Honda at German GP
Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany – Luca Marini had a strong performance at the German GP, finishing 15th and scoring his first point of the season for the Repsol Honda Team. The event was packed with fans at the Sachsenring, eager to see the action.
Marini showed his speed throughout the weekend and carefully built his pace during the 30-lap race. In the final third, he moved ahead of Takaaki Nakagami but finished 16th, just behind Nakagami. A post-race penalty for another rider promoted Marini to 15th place.
Joan Mir, another Honda rider, finished 18th after post-race penalties. He is working with his team to improve his bike’s setup. Both riders are hopeful for better results in the upcoming British GP at Silverstone after the summer break.
Marini said, “I am happy with what we have done in the first half of the year overall. Our effort from the opening races is starting to pay off. Everyone in Honda is working together in the same direction.”
Mir added, “We have to use this weekend to understand what happened and how to avoid it in the future. The team and I have some ideas on what to change in the future. We aim to come back in Silverstone stronger.”
