Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Important Visit to Russia and Meeting with President Vladimir Putin

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Russia on July 8-9 for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. The visit includes discussions with President Vladimir Putin on regional and global issues, with a focus on Indo-Pacific developments.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra highlighted that these discussions are crucial for both nations. PM Modi will also engage with the Indian community in Russia and visit the Kremlin.

A special cultural event on July 9 will feature Russian artists trained in Kathak dance, showcasing the strong cultural ties between India and Russia. Natalia, one of the Russian artists, expressed her excitement about performing in front of PM Modi.

India’s Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, emphasized the significance of this visit, noting that it is the first summit-level meeting between the two leaders in three years. The last summit was held in December 2021 in New Delhi.
