Indian Army Honors Two Brave Soldiers in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir

The Indian Army paid tribute to two soldiers, Lance Naik Pardeep Kumar and Sepoy Pravin Janjal Prabhakar, who lost their lives in separate encounters with terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Tributes and Homage

On Sunday, the Chinar Corps Commander, Chief Secretary of J-K, DGP J-K, and other dignitaries, along with all ranks, paid homage to the fallen soldiers. The Indian Army Chinar Corps posted on X, “Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of both brave hearts. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and are committed to their well-being.”

Details of the Encounters

According to defence officials, two separate encounters broke out in Kulgam district on Saturday. The first encounter occurred in Modergam village, followed by another in the Frisal Chinnigam area. Four terrorists were neutralized, and two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives in these operations, which are still ongoing.

Recent Spike in Terrorist Attacks

Jammu and Kashmir has seen a rise in terrorist attacks in recent months. In June, three terrorists were neutralized in an encounter with security forces in the Gandoh, Bhaderwah sector of district Doda, as stated by ADGP Anand Jain.
