Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the Jagannath Puri Temple in Odisha to offer prayers on the eve of Lord Jagannath’s 147th Rath Yatra, which will take place in Ahmedabad. He expressed his blessings for the event and wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity for the citizens.

The Rath Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival, is a historic event that involves the journey of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra to their maternal aunt, Goddess Gundicha Devi’s Temple, and their return after eight days. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm worldwide, from New Zealand to London and South Africa.

Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena announced that 24-hour control rooms and medical kits will be available for devotees in every bus deployed for the Yatra. He also mentioned that six cranes will be stationed at different locations to assist with vehicle breakdowns.
