JP Nadda and Ravinder Raina Honor Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee in Jammu

BJP National President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, along with J-K BJP President Ravinder Raina, paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary in Jammu.

JP Nadda’s Tribute

JP Nadda expressed his privilege in honoring Dr. Mukherjee, the founding president of BJP, and praised his lifelong dedication to the nation. Nadda highlighted Mukherjee’s special relationship with Jammu and Kashmir and his sacrifices for the country.

Dr. Mukherjee’s Contributions

Dr. Mukherjee was a revolutionary who resigned from his position as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta to join the freedom movement. He played a crucial role in saving West Bengal and Punjab from Pakistan and advocated for the integration of Jammu and Kashmir into India. He was arrested and died in Srinagar jail on June 23, 1953.

BJP’s Achievements

Nadda credited Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah for the abrogation of Article 370, ensuring the concept of ‘One symbol, one Legislature, and one chief.’ He emphasized that BJP is a self-reliant party with no dynastic politics, unlike Congress, which relies on coalitions for victories.
