Members of the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) took to the streets in Hyderabad to protest against Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the Hindu community. The protesters demanded an apology from the Congress leader and attempted to siege the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) headquarters at Gandhi Bhavan.

Several BJYM members were detained and taken into custody by the police. The protesters chanted slogans against Rahul Gandhi, saying, ‘Rahul Gandhi Murdabad.’

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in the Lok Sabha have sparked nationwide protests by the BJP and its allies. On Wednesday, BJYM’s national president, Tejasvi Suriya, led a protest in Delhi, demanding an unconditional apology from Gandhi. Suriya and thousands of BJP workers marched to the Congress Headquarters, where he was detained but later released.

In his maiden speech as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP and RSS of spreading violence and hatred, which led to protests from the Treasury benches. Parts of his speech, including comments on Hindus and PM Modi-RSS-BJP, were later expunged. PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have also demanded an apology from Gandhi.
