Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil Meets Korean Companies for Big Investments

Bengaluru, Karnataka – The Karnataka government recently held discussions with major Korean companies to boost the state’s economy in gaming, FMCG, and automotive sectors. The meeting was led by M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, and included companies like YG-1, Krafton Inc., Go Pizza, and HY Automotive Controls.

YG-1’s Major Investment

YG-1, a global cutting tool manufacturer, announced a significant investment of USD 150 million in Karnataka. The company plans to establish a Korean language learning and training center and a cutting-edge R&D center in the state. YG-1 already operates a manufacturing facility in Tumakuru Machine Tool Park (TMTP).

Krafton Inc.’s Gaming Expansion

Krafton Inc. discussed its plans to open a gaming station in Karnataka and hire more engineers from India. The company has invested 140 million dollars in Indian startups since 2021 and is focusing on game development, AI integration, and the growth of esports in India.

Go Pizza’s FMCG Goals

Lim Jae-won, CEO of Go Pizza, shared the company’s target of achieving over Rs 150 crore in sales by Q1 next year in India. Go Pizza aims to expand in Bangalore by tripling its factory size, hoping to replicate the success of Domino’s.

HY Automotive Controls’ Expansion

HY Automotive Controls (HYAC) discussed its plans to expand in India, including the search for approximately 3 acres of land near Bangalore for their new facility.
