Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu Meets Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to Discuss Kota Greenfield Airport
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi to review the Kota Greenfield Airport project. The minister stressed the importance of the project and instructed officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and complete necessary formalities as soon as possible. The goal is to make the airport operational within two years of starting construction.
Earlier, Rajya Sabha member P Wilson from Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam met with Naidu to request his intervention in expediting the site clearance for a new greenfield airport proposed for Chennai in Parandur, Kancheepuram district. Wilson mentioned that the Tamil Nadu government, led by MK Stalin, is committed to establishing the airport on a 4,970-acre land.
At 36, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu is the youngest minister in the Modi 3.0 cabinet. He has been a three-time Lok Sabha MP from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, and won the 2024 elections by defeating YSRCP’s Tilak Perada by a margin of 3,27,901 votes. Naidu entered politics in 2012 after the tragic death of his father and has retained his seat since 2014.
