Prime Minister Modi Criticizes Congress Party in Parliament

New Delhi [India], July 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong critique of the Congress party during a debate in the Lok Sabha. He labeled Congress as a ‘Parasite’ party in the 2024 elections, accusing it of consuming the votes of its allies.

Congress’s Performance

Modi pointed out that Congress won most of its 99 seats due to the efforts of their allies. He noted that in 13 states, Congress has zero seats and criticized their celebration of what he called a ‘false victory’.

In states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, where Congress contested alone, they won only 2 out of 64 seats. Modi argued that Congress has become entirely ‘Par-jeevi’, meaning it lives off its host and consumes it.

Mocking Rahul Gandhi

Modi took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, comparing Congress’s statements to the Bollywood film ‘Sholay’. He mocked the party’s claims of moral victory despite poor performance, saying they are trying to gain sympathy.

Accusations Against Congress

Modi accused Congress of being involved in various legal issues, including embezzlement and defamation. He claimed that Congress leaders are addicted to lying and mentioned that on July 1st, people were checking their bank accounts for Rs 8,500, referring to a recent event.
