EAM S Jaishankar Meets Qatar’s PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Doha

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Doha, Qatar, where he met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen their countries’ relationship in various sectors, including political, trade, investment, energy, technology, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

Jaishankar conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to The Amir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Prime Minister Al Thani. He highlighted the strong and friendly relations between India and Qatar, marked by regular high-level visits.

During their discussions, they also talked about regional and global issues of mutual concern. Jaishankar appreciated the insights shared by Prime Minister Al Thani on the Gaza situation, reflecting the depth of their dialogue on pressing international matters.

Looking forward, Jaishankar expressed optimism for further enhancing India-Qatar relations and continuing a constructive dialogue on areas of mutual interest.

Jaishankar’s visit to Qatar will help both sides review various aspects of their bilateral relations, including political, trade, investment, energy, security, cultural, and people-to-people ties, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
