Vodafone Idea, Reliance Jio, and Bharti Airtel Announce New Tariff Hikes Starting July

New Delhi, India – Vodafone Idea has announced new prepaid and postpaid plans effective from July 4, following similar announcements by Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. The new tariffs will see increases between 11-24%.

Details of New Tariff Plans

Vodafone Idea’s new plans include:

  • 28-day plan raised by 11% to Rs 199 from Rs 179
  • 84-day plan with 1.5 GB data per day increased to Rs 859 from Rs 719
  • Annual unlimited plan increased by 21% to Rs 3,499 from Rs 2,899
  • 56-day plan with 1.5GB data per day increased to Rs 579 from Rs 479

The 365-day plan with 24 GB data remains unchanged at Rs 1,799.

Company Statements

Vodafone Idea stated, “In line with its commitment to provide its consumers with simple and comprehensive plans, Vi has curated an optimum range of feature-rich plans to meet the diverse needs of its consumers.”

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio also announced tariff hikes, effective from July 3, to support investments in network technology and 5G services. Airtel mentioned, “We believe that this level of ARPU will enable the substantial investments required in network technology and spectrum and offer a modest return on capital.”
