Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) President Farooq Abdullah recently shared updates on the progress of the NC-Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that the government is performing well and committed to fulfilling all promises made in their election manifesto within five years.

When questioned about PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s comments on Article 370, Abdullah stated that their manifesto clearly addresses the issue. He also reaffirmed his dedication to restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, expressing confidence that it will be achieved despite the challenges following the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

Abdullah also commented on the slogan ‘Katenge toh batenge’, emphasizing that India’s strength lies in its diversity. He expressed confusion over the slogan’s meaning and reiterated the importance of unity in diversity for a strong India.

Additionally, Abdullah expressed sorrow over the tragic fire incident in Jhansi, which resulted in the loss of 10 newborns. He urged the government to provide immediate assistance and conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

NC-Congress government -: The NC-Congress government refers to a coalition government formed by the Jammu Kashmir National Conference (NC) and the Indian National Congress, two political parties working together in Jammu and Kashmir.

Unity in diversity -: Unity in diversity means that people of different cultures, languages, and religions live together peacefully and respect each other’s differences, which is considered a strength for India.
