On Thursday night, a firing incident occurred at a petrol pump in Gokulpuri, New Delhi, injuring one person. According to the Delhi Police, four individuals arrived on two bikes, and a pillion rider opened fire. The injured person, identified as Ansul Rathi, is out of danger and was taken to GTB hospital with minor injuries.

The incident took place at 10:38 pm, with 16 rounds fired at the office cabin of the petrol pump. The suspects fled in different directions, one towards Gokulpuri and the other towards Loni roundabout. The petrol pump owner, Harish Chaudhary, suspects an old village rivalry as the motive.

Delhi Police are investigating the incident, noting that Harish Chaudhary has pending cases against him. In response to a rise in firing and snatching incidents in Delhi, senior police officials are reviewing security measures and instructing police pickets to remain vigilant.
