CBI Investigates Unregulated Deposit Schemes in Assam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the investigation of 41 cases in Assam related to unregulated deposit schemes. This action follows a recommendation from the Government of Assam. Since assuming control, the CBI has intensified its efforts, conducting searches at 92 locations across five states.

During these searches, the CBI seized 24 mobile phones, 18 desktops, 7 hard drives, and 11 laptops. The investigation has successfully traced databases with details of depositors who were misled into investing in these schemes.

Key Arrest in AJRS Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Case

In a significant development, the CBI apprehended the main accused in a case involving AJRS Marketing Pvt. Ltd. The individual had been evading authorities since the filing of the FIR. He was found in a hideout in Siliguri, where crucial evidence was also discovered.

The accused was presented before the Court of the Special Judge (CBI Cases), which granted the CBI custody for further interrogation and investigation. The CBI is determined to uncover the full scope of these fraudulent activities and ensure justice is served. The investigation is ongoing.
