Prime Minister Modi Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in Jamui, Bihar

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jamui in Bihar to celebrate ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas’ and honor the tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 150th birth anniversary. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed excitement about the Prime Minister’s visit, stating, “Vikshit Bihar aur Vikshit Bharat ka shanknad yahi hoga.”

During the event, Prime Minister Modi interacted with dancers and tried playing the traditional dhol. He highlighted the efforts of the NDA government, led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in creating a separate ministry for tribal welfare. Modi mentioned that the budget for tribal development has increased fivefold to Rs 1.25 lakh crore. He also introduced the ‘Dharti Aaba, Janjatiya Gram, Utkarsh Abhiyan’ scheme, which aims to invest Rs 80,000 crore in tribal villages to provide facilities and create job opportunities for the youth.

State BJP president Dilip Jaiswal noted the excitement in Jamui and across Bihar, emphasizing the Prime Minister’s commitment to the welfare of the tribal community. He also expressed optimism about the BJP’s performance in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, attributing potential success to Modi’s leadership.
