Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Visits Badrinath Dham
On Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Badrinath Dham to pray for the state’s happiness, prosperity, and peace. He noted that the Yatra is nearing its end, yet many devotees continue to visit Baba Badri Vishal.
Increasing Number of Devotees
CM Dhami highlighted the growing number of pilgrims over the past few years and anticipated a record increase in the future. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiration for the rapid progress of the master plan aimed at improving the Yatra annually.
Formation of Yatra Authority
The Chief Minister announced the formation of a Yatra Authority to enhance travel arrangements across all Dhams. He met with officials from the Tirtha Purohits, Vyapar Mandal, and Hotel Association to address their concerns and received positive feedback on the Yatra.
Closure of Badrinath Dham
The doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will close for winter on November 17, with Panch Pujas starting on November 13. The temple committee president, Ajendra Ajay, will attend the closing ceremony. The Adi Kedareshwar and Shankaracharya Temples will close on November 14, followed by other rituals leading up to the final closure.
Winter Arrangements
On November 18, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji, along with Shri Kuber ji and Uddhav ji, will move to their winter residence in Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrisinha Temple, Joshimath. Winter pujas will be held at these locations.
