President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s Visit to Kuwait
Strengthening UAE-Kuwait Ties
Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, announced that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will visit Kuwait on Sunday. This visit, invited by Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, aims to enhance cooperation between the two nations.
The visit comes two months after the 5th session of the Joint Higher Committee, where several agreements were signed. These agreements cover areas such as tax avoidance, defense, infrastructure, cybersecurity, environment, and information technology, aiming to boost collaboration and utilize both countries’ resources for mutual benefit.
The visit is generating significant excitement, with widespread media coverage and decorations in Kuwait, highlighting the strong relationship between the UAE and Kuwait. Reciprocal visits are planned for 2024, starting with the Emir of Kuwait visiting the UAE. High-level visits in September and October by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah have also focused on strengthening ties.
Dr. Al Neyadi emphasized that the UAE-Kuwait relationship is a model of cooperation and solidarity, rooted in historical bonds and driven by leadership committed to development and supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council’s progress.
