Security Tightened in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir After Encounter with Terrorists
Security has been increased in Doda city after three terrorists were neutralized in an encounter with security forces in the Gandoh, Bhaderwah sector of district Doda in Jammu and Kashmir.
Details of the Encounter
ADGP of Jammu, Anand Jain, reported that two M-4s and one AK-47 rifle were recovered from the terrorists. He stated, “Three terrorists have been neutralized in this encounter, and arms and ammunition have been recovered from them. A search operation is going on in the area.”
Stricter Actions and Public Cooperation
Jain indicated stricter actions against those who provided shelter to the terrorists and urged the public to help in identifying such individuals. He also mentioned the presence of new terror groups in the area and ongoing investigations.
Assurance on Amarnath Yatra
ADGP Jain assured that there is no threat to the Amarnath Yatra and that investigations are underway to find out more about the terrorists whose sketches were issued.
Ongoing Operations
Earlier reports indicated that two terrorists were killed in an ongoing joint operation in the Gandoh area of Doda. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.
