National Career Service Partners with Cygnus Medicare to Boost Healthcare Jobs
In New Delhi, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cygnus Medicare Pvt Ltd. This agreement aims to enhance job opportunities in the healthcare sector through the National Career Service (NCS) portal. The signing was attended by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Secretary Sumita Dawra.
Expanding Job Opportunities
The partnership marks the first direct association of a healthcare group with the NCS portal, which is a key platform for young job seekers. Minister Mandaviya emphasized the importance of this collaboration in expanding healthcare job opportunities and helping India’s youth build promising careers.
Commitment to Employment Growth
Mandaviya highlighted ongoing efforts to create a robust employment landscape in India, with two MoUs already signed with Amazon and TMI Group, and 11 more in the pipeline. These partnerships are expected to bring around 25 lakh vacancies to the NCS portal.
Portal Upgrades and Success
The NCS portal is undergoing upgrades to offer a more user-friendly interface using advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence. As of October 31, 2024, the portal has over 35 lakh registered employers and more than 1.10 crore active job seekers, having mobilized over 3.46 crore vacancies since its launch.
Focus on Inclusivity
The MoU, set for two years, involves Cygnus Ujala Group posting job vacancies on the NCS portal and organizing job fairs. A key focus is promoting employment opportunities for women and ensuring equal access to jobs, especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities.
