President Droupadi Murmu to Witness Indian Navy Operations on INS Vikrant

On November 7, 2024, President Droupadi Murmu will experience the Indian Navy’s multi-domain operations at sea aboard the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The Ministry of Defence announced that the President will embark on INS Vikrant to observe various naval operations.

Welcoming Ceremony

Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, will welcome President Murmu at INS Hansa, the Naval Air Station in Goa. A ceremonial guard of 150 men will honor her arrival. Following this, the President will board INS Vikrant at sea off the coast of Goa.

Naval Operations

This marks President Murmu’s first voyage on the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. She will witness a range of naval operations, including surface ship operations, battle actions, submarine exercises, and air power demonstrations. The air power demo will feature take-offs and landings by deck-based fighter aircraft and helicopters, along with a flypast by naval aircraft.
