President Droupadi Murmu’s Upcoming Visit to Goa
President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Goa on Thursday to participate in the ‘Day at Sea’ event. This event will showcase the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities, including flying operations from the INS Vikrant.
President Murmu’s Historic African Tour
Recently, President Murmu completed a significant three-nation tour to Algeria, Mauritania, and Malawi from October 13 to 19. This visit aimed to strengthen diplomatic relations and cooperation between India and these African countries. It marked the first-ever visit by an Indian President to these nations.
Key Highlights of the African Tour
In Malawi, President Murmu and President Chakwera discussed various areas and signed MoUs on Arts and Culture, Youth Matters, Sports, and Pharmaceutical Cooperation. She also announced India’s support in establishing a permanent Artificial Limb Fitment Centre in Malawi. The visit followed the African Union’s inclusion as a permanent member of the G-20 during India’s Presidency.
