SpiceJet Expands Domestic Network with New Flights

SpiceJet, a major airline in India, is set to expand its domestic network by launching eight new flights starting November 15. These new routes will connect Jaipur with Varanasi, Amritsar, and Ahmedabad, and also link Ahmedabad with Pune.

Recent Expansions

In October 2024, SpiceJet introduced 32 new flights, including international routes from Delhi to Phuket. The airline also started UDAN flights connecting Shivamogga in Karnataka with Chennai and Hyderabad, and doubled daily flights between Chennai and Kochi.

Statement from SpiceJet

Debojo Maharshi, SpiceJet’s Chief Business Officer, expressed excitement about the new flights, stating they provide passengers with greater flexibility and convenience. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to supporting passenger demand in tier-II cities and beyond.

Aircraft and Booking Information

SpiceJet will use its 78-seater Q400 aircraft for these new routes. Bookings are now open on the airline’s website, mobile app, and through travel agents.

Rating Upgrade

SpiceJet received a significant boost with Acuite Ratings & Research Limited upgrading its long-term rating to ‘B+’ and short-term rating to A4, with a ‘Stable’ outlook.
