Operation Kaitsan: Security Forces Eliminate Terrorist in Bandipora
In Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have successfully eliminated a terrorist during the ongoing Operation Kaitsan. The operation, which is still in progress, was announced by the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps on Wednesday morning.
Joint Operation in Chuntawadi Kaitsan
On Tuesday, a joint operation was launched by the Indian Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Chuntawadi Kaitsan area. This action followed an encounter between security forces and terrorists, based on specific intelligence about terrorist presence in the Kaitsan forest.
Recent Developments in Jammu and Kashmir
In a separate incident on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir police, along with 22RR and 92 BN of the CRPF, apprehended a terrorist associate named Ashiq Hussain Wani from Tujar Shareef in Sopore.
Earlier, on November 3, a grenade attack injured twelve people, including a woman, at the Tourist Reception Centre and weekly market in Srinagar. On November 2, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Anantnag district, and on October 29, three terrorists were neutralized in Akhnoor after an attack on an Army convoy. On October 20, a tragic attack on a tunnel construction site in Ganderbal resulted in the deaths of a doctor and six construction workers.
