Details from Karbi Anglong and Bishnupur

An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 struck Assam’s Karbi Anglong district late on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that the earthquake occurred at 9:54 pm with an epicenter located at a depth of 25 kilometers.

Earlier in the day, a stronger earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hit Manipur’s Bishnupur area at 7:09 pm. This earthquake also had an epicenter at a depth of 25 kilometers, according to the NCS.

Both events were reported by the NCS, and further details are awaited.
