Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, where he paid his respects. He shared a picture of his visit on social media, expressing gratitude to Swami Brahmaviharidas Ji. Puri recalled placing a ceremonial brick at the temple site in 2021, highlighting its importance as a symbol of Indian culture and values. The temple is the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East, representing the friendship between India and the UAE and promoting cultural inclusivity and interfaith harmony.

Earlier, Minister Puri met with HE Haitham Al-Ghais, Secretary General of OPEC, at the ADIPEC conference in Abu Dhabi. They discussed India’s partnership with OPEC, focusing on maintaining balanced and predictable global oil markets. Puri emphasized the unique relationship between India, the world’s third-largest oil importer, and OPEC, a major oil producers’ group. He also inaugurated the India Pavilion and participated in the Global Leaders and Energy Transition Ministerial Panel.
