Rahul Gandhi’s Visit to Raebareli and Hyderabad
Inauguration in Raebareli
On a busy Tuesday, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, inaugurated the newly-built Shaheed Chowk at Degree College Chauraha in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. Earlier in the day, he offered prayers at Shri Peepaleshwar Mahadevji Mandir and Hanuman Mandir. Rahul Gandhi, who represents Rae Bareli in Parliament, is on a one-day visit to the area, participating in various events including the inauguration of roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and attending a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting.
Visit to Hyderabad
Later, Rahul Gandhi will travel to Hyderabad to engage with intellectuals and stakeholders about the caste survey initiated by the Telangana state government. Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar explained that this is the first time such a survey is being conducted in the state, with each enumerator assigned 150 houses to survey. The survey is scheduled from November 6 to November 30, fulfilling an election promise. The Congress party has been advocating for a nationwide caste census, considering it a progressive and significant step.
