He announced his support for Mahayuti candidate Shankar Jagtap in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. This decision came after a call from NCP chief Ajit Pawar, which led to a meeting with local corporators who agreed to back Jagtap.

BJP Leader Gopal Shetty’s Withdrawal

In a similar move, BJP leader Gopal Shetty withdrew his independent candidacy from the Boriwali Assembly seat. Shetty emphasized that the party’s interests are more important than individual ambitions. He assured that there were no significant differences, and the issues were resolved appropriately.

Deputy Chief Minister’s Confidence

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence in resolving any discontent among party members. He stated that the party considers all members as their own and aims to address any anger or misunderstandings for the greater good of the party.

BJP’s New Candidate for Boriwali

The BJP has nominated Sanjay Upadhyay to contest from the Boriwali seat, replacing the current MLA Sunil Rane.
