Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and J&K CM Omar Abdullah Respond to Srinagar Grenade Attack
In Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi expressed concerns over the blame game following a recent grenade attack in Srinagar, warning it could benefit Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of national security and criticized the blame game, stating, “It gives an upper hand to Pakistan.” The attack occurred at the Tourist Reception Centre and a weekly market in Srinagar, which Joshi described as “very unfortunate.”
Joshi reiterated the Indian government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, promising joint action with the J&K government against anti-India activities. Meanwhile, Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohidin visited the injured at SHMS Hospital, noting that two patients required surgery.
J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, stating there is “no justification for targeting innocent civilians.” He urged the security forces to end the recent spate of attacks to ensure public safety. The attack has heightened tensions and raised security concerns in the region, with nine terror attacks occurring in 38 days, resulting in numerous casualties.
